Machines de spectacle

Le Grand Répertoire- Machines de spectacle est un inventaire, non-exhaustif, de machines de spectacle qui, une fois les tournées achevées, restent inutilisées. Cette exposition a pour but de rendre hommage à des objets qui ont fait la fierté de leurs constructeurs. Il s'agit donc de les mettre en situation de représentation et de les laisser nous raconter leurs histoires insolites et nous emporter dans leurs univers poétiques. Au travers du langage de ces sculptures c'est l'humanité qu'elles contiennent qui nous touche.

Les « Véritables Machinistes », gardiens de ce musée singulier, sont chargés d'entretenir avec attention ces mécaniques délicates et capricieuses. Ils vont donner quelques éclaircissements sur leurs histoires, voire démontrer le fonctionnement et les particularités de ces machines.

Quelques machines du Grand Répertoire : la machine à tartiner le Nutella, la catapulte à piano, la machine à odeurs, le canon à neige, la tartapulte, la moto ascensionnelle, les maquettes d'un géant mécanique ou d'une girafe, la machine à marcher comme les égyptiens, des machines à musique ou à imiter le son du rhinocéros...

Le Grand Répertoire – Machines de Spectacle (The Great Repertory – Theatrical Performance Machines)

Le Grand Répertoire-Machines de Spectacle is a non-exhaustive inventory of theatre performance machines which, once the tours are over, remained unused. This exhibition seeks to render homage to the mechanical devices which have been the pride of their builders. It is therefore question of putting them to work and letting them tell us their amazing stories, to carry us off into their poetic worlds. Through the language of these sculptures we see it is the trace of humanity they offer that affects us most.

The "Véritables Machinistes", technician-guardians of this singular museum, are responsible for carefully maintaining these delicate and capricious mechanical devices. They provide the public with a few clarifications as to the history of these machines, even demonstrating their functioning and special characteristics.

A few Grand Répertoire machines: the Nutella-spreading machine, the piano catapult, the smell machine, the snow cannon, the tartapult, the ascending motorcycle, models for a mechanical giant or giraffe, the machine to walk like an Egyptian, machines to make music or imitate a rhinoceros call...
